There are many ways to help!
1) Sign up to donate an item to the auction (email kaci.gravatt@yahoo.com by June 19)
2) Ask your artistic friends to donate an item to the auction
3) Bid on items listed in the auction, and encourage your friends and family to do the same
If you agree to dress a bear or paint a chair, the theatre will provide you with the bear or chair, and you as the artist are responsible for all other supplies. While respecting artistic expression and creative freedoms, the bears and chairs need to be high quality so as to encourage bids during the auction.
You can choose any Broadway show as a theme for your project, and you can use any materials you wish. Bears may feature a variety of fabrics, sequins, feathers, dyes, pre-made items, and props – anything you need to turn your bear into a Broadway character. Chairs can be decorated using paints, stains, stencils, glitter, or decoupage – anything you need to turn your chair into a Broadway-themed showpiece.
Yes! In addition to Broadway-themed bears and chairs, we are also accepting Broadway-themed art. This may include drawings, paintings, carved/engraved pieces, wood-burning,
sculpture, and more. If you are interested in submitting an art piece, please email Kaci at
kaci.gravatt@yahoo.com to discuss your submission.
Bears and chairs will arrive by August 1st and can be picked up at the theatre the week of August 2nd between 6pm-9pm. If you need to arrange a different day/time, please email kaci.gravatt@yahoo.com and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
All bears, chairs, and any other artwork donations must be returned to the theatre by Thursday, October 1, 2020 to allow ample time for the items to be photographed and listed on the online auction platform.
