
Mission: To further enhance and support the Griffin Theatre by creating an active and involved youth community. (Ages 10-20)



Members: Must be age 10 by June of the year of nomination. Must be no older than 20 when applying (you may be 21 for your term length). The board will contain no more than 16 members-including the officers.
Terms: Terms are 2 years. Board members may reapply when their term is up until they are no longer eligible due to age
Meetings: The Youth Board meets 5 times a year. All members must attend a minimum of 50% of the meetings to stay on the youth board. Meetings need to be scheduled through the Griffin Theatre Executive Director for scheduling purposes.

President: The President is responsible for presiding over the meetings. The President will be responsible for tracking and monitoring the board member’s volunteer commitments. The President will assist with all other committees and tasks. They will monitor and follow up on all tasks to be completed by all other committees.
Vice President: The Vice President is responsible for presiding over the meeting in the absence of the President. The Vice President is responsible for planning 2-3 youth bonding activities per calendar year. They will develop a budget with the help of their mentor.
Finance: Finance is responsible for maintaining and monitoring all budgets for youth board activities. The Finance Director oversees the fundraisers and makes sure budgets get approved by the Owners. They will develop a budget with the help of their mentor.
Secretary: The Secretary is responsible for keeping notes from each meeting and distributing them. Notes will go out to the Griffin Theatre Youth Board, the Griffin Theatre Board of Directors, and the Owners. They will be responsible for opening night ‘break a leg notes’ to the cast from the Youth Board, in cooperation with the director of the show and the Youth Board. Shows to give ‘break a leg notes’ will be decided by the Youth Board. The Secretary will develop a budget with the help of their mentor.
Marketing: Marketing will be responsible for the marketing of all Youth Board events and activities. This includes coming up with ideas and coordinating these through our Board of Directors Marketing Chair. Responsibilities also include sharing all Youth Board events and activities. The Marketing Chair is also responsible for heading up 1 community give-back project each calendar year. They will develop a budget with the help of their mentor.
FOH—Front of House is responsible for coming up with and implementing show-themed decorative ideas for lobby and concession areas. They will also assist in coming up with and implementing show specific merchandise items for each show. They will develop a budget with the help of their mentor.
Donors and Sponsors—Donors and Sponsors is responsible for coming up with fun show-themed giveaways if someone signs up to become a donor at a show. They will also assist in decorating and maintaining the donor table. They will develop a budget with the help of their mentor.
Fundraising—Fundraising is responsible for collecting ideas for fundraisers and then organizing and executing approved fundraisers with the assistance of the youth board and other volunteers. They are also responsible for developing and overseeing a fundraising budget for the year with the assistance of their mentor.
