Welcome to private lessons at the Griffin Theatre! To ensure a smooth and rewarding experience for everyone, please review the following policies regarding enrollment, tuition, student progress, and attendance.
Students are not officially enrolled until their first tuition payment is received.
Tuition: $134/month for weekly 30-minute private lessons. $5/month is taken off for enrolling in auto pay.
Tuition must be paid in advance via electronic payment. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
If payment is not successfully processed, lessons may be suspended or canceled, and your lesson time may be offered to another student.
We offer 48 lessons annually (instructors receive 4 weeks off). Tuition is based on an average of 4 lessons per month at $33.75 per lesson, billed evenly at $134/month.
Prorated tuition is applied for your first month, based on how many lessons remain.
This flat-rate structure means you pay the same amount each month, regardless of how many actual lessons fall within that month.
There are no credits or reschedules for the 4 built-in instructor vacation weeks.
Payment is expected at the start of each month — even if a student misses a lesson due to illness, holidays, or scheduling conflicts. We reserve a dedicated time slot for each student.
To withdraw from lessons, you must email info@griffintheatre.org with 30 days’ notice.
Progress depends on four key factors:
We tailor lessons to each student's goals — whether it’s for fun, confidence, education, or professional development. Let us know what success looks like for your family so we can make lessons meaningful and personal.
Consistency matters. While occasional conflicts are understandable, regular attendance keeps students engaged and developing their skills.
Real growth happens between lessons. While we don’t require a specific practice time, we work with each student to create realistic practice goals based on their lifestyle and ambition.
Encouragement and routine are crucial. We ask families to:
Schedule consistent practice time.
Present practice as a positive habit, not a chore.
Let us know if there are interests or motivators we can incorporate to help engage your child.
If we receive at least 24 hours’ notice, and the instructor is available, we will do our best to arrange a make-up lesson.
All make-up lessons must occur within 3 months of the missed date and are only available to actively enrolledstudents.
Once a student withdraws or takes a break, unused lessons are no longer eligible for rescheduling.
